Evolution - Myth or Misguided Intellect to distract you from the Truth?

Creation

Today I went to the Oxford Natural Museum. It is the second most visited museum in the world and have 750,000 visitors every year. It contains millions of species. (About | Oxford University Museum of Natural History)

I was fascinated at the beauty of creation and the efforts the founders of this museum have put together to remind all the visitors of the beauty of creation. Over 100 years, men had taken care of the memory of these animals and it gives so much pleasure for children and adults to see so much species and appreciate the beauty of creation just like in the Garden of Eden. Well, yes, the Garden of Eden was created by God. Did you know that on day 3, God created the right ecosystem and God filled that space with animals, including man on day 6.

Such beauty must have design and purpose.

When I left the museum today, I was quite sad. I agree that there has been so much work put into this museum but would you not agree that it is incomplete without its Creator.

Did you know that this fascinating project started with a head-to-head debate in 1860, a debate between a Christian, Bishop of Oxford, Samuel Wilberforce and a biologist, Thomas Huxley.

The debate that started between Wilberforce and Huxley was about the Theory of Evolution by natural selection proposed by Charles Darwin a month before in that same year. It was the most controversial ideas in the 19th century.

Darwin said that man evolved from an ape. Evolutionist will tell you that the rate of evolution is a measurement of the change in an evolutionary lineage over time. Then the evolutionist tells you that it took millions of years for that process to take place.  Something that nobody can quantify because process are interfered with many other variables, weather, time, change in the ecosystem, etc. Moreover, they argue that an evolutionary lineage is a series of populations of organisms that descend from a common ancestor. Ape and Man do not share in a common ancestor.

As it stands, Darwinians are believing in a theory. Not science.

The Science Council gives a definition of Science (Our definition of science - The Science Council ~ : The Science Council ~). It says that "Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence".

How can you gather evidence over million of years? How can anyone had transferred data on this "science" on evolution by natural selection over the years when it was discovered by Darwin in 1860?

Let us go back to my visit today. Why was I sad? It was because all these creatures were created by someone. And that someone was never mentioned. I will argue that the debate that Wilberforce started is still not resolved.

Now I am going to pick your brain a bit.

Have you been to the National Gallery in London? Or any art museum in your town or city? I bet you can easily pick a Monet, or a Picasso, or a Banksy, a Rembrandt, or a Van Gogh.

The detail of drama in Van Gogh painting - the transfer of emotions in Monet - the dark humour of Banksy's street art - the cubism of Picasso - or the smooth style of Rembrandt.

The point I am making here is that each designer and creator has a style and a signature. And can easily be recognised.

Today I was surrounded by animals and they all have similar trait. Their anatomy do not differ from one another. Would that not suggest that they were created by an intelligent designer and creator who had clear intent to create, and that intent was for purpose (read my blog on creation of man).

Genesis 1:11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.

Genesis 1:12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

Genesis 1:24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.

Genesis 1:25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

What Moses (author of Genesis) is telling us is that God created living creatures according to their kinds. Therefore, the ape was created according to his kind. The wild beasts were created according to their kinds. The livestock were created according to their kinds.

There was no random evolution of species. This is just a myth. Misguided Intellect!

The bias of this argument is so ridiculous. Even if there was evolution, I ask you when did the first piece of that construct happen? What is the origin of all things?

In the above verses, God created the space for animals on Day 3, He created vegetation according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. Only thereafter, that God created animals to live on that land.

In the creation narrative of Genesis, Moses explained to us that God had design and purpose in creation.

The true hero of Genesis is the LORD God, the stories of Genesis deal with:

- Origins

- Life of a believing community under the sovereignty of God.

Job was written before Genesis and the author gives clear details on the functions and demeanour of the animals. Job was written to explain the suffering of mankind and God is informing Job that He has done such mighty things and will He not save him? It is the first ancient book that was written, scholars says that it may be well before the 5th century BCE.

Job 38:1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said:

Job:38:4 Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me if you have understanding.

Do you know that God gives clear details on how these animals behave: He speaks of the powerful Behemoth and the fierce Leviathan (dinosaur).

The strength of the Behemoth is in his loins and his power in the muscles of his belly.

Job 38: 19 He is the first of the works of God; let him who made him bring near his sword!

Job 39:19 Do you give the horse his might? Do you clothe his neck with a mane?

Did we learn how to tame the horse from the Scripture? Because God give all the information there. Read the rest of the chapter.

Job 40:15 "Behold, Behemoth, which I made as I made you (man); he eats gross like an ox.
Job 40:16 Behold, his strength in his loins, and his power in the muscles of his belly.
Job 40:17 He makes his tail stiff like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are knit together.
Job 40:18 His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like bars of iron.

Then God gives us details on the dinosaur and the dragon:

Job 41:1 Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook or press down his tongue with a cord?
Job 41:7 Can you fill his skin with harpoons or his head with fishing spears?
Job 41:8 Lay your hands on him; remember the battle - you will not do it again!
Job 41:14 Who can open the doors of his face? Around his teeth is terror.
Job 41:15 His back is made of rows of shields, shut up closely as with a seal.
Job 41:19 Out of his mouth go flaming torches; sparks of fire leap forth.
Job 41:25 When he raises himself up, the mighty are afraid; at the crashing they are beside themselves.
Job 41:26 Though the sword reaches him, it does not avail, nor the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
(Job 41 provides a clear detail on the functioning of the terrifying dragon)

This is our God, the creator of all things. I say we need to give due where it is needed. Wouldn't you agree?

The debate that Wilberforce started with the intellectual still goes on …
