Prayer for our Nation: Have mercy O LORD!

 O LORD HAVE MERCY

Have mercy on me, O LORD, according to Your great mercy.

According to Your tender mercies remove my transgressions.

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquities, and cleanse me from my sins.

I knowingly confess my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Against You only have I sinned and done evil before You; O LORD, please forgive me and make me right before you.

But behold, I was formed in iniquity: and in sin did my mother conceive me.

LORD, sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, make me whiter than snow.

Open my ears and make me hear of joy and gladness and my bones that have been humbled shall rejoice.

O LORD, create in me a clean heart.

O LORD make anew, a righteous spirit within me.

O LORD, do not cast me away from Your presence; and take not Your Spirit from me.

O LORD, restore unto me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Behold, You desire truth in my innermost being: make me to understand wisdom secretly.

 O LORD give me wisdom.

I will teach those that are unjust Your ways: and sinners shall be converted unto You.

Deliver me from blood, O LORD, the God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing of Your righteousness.

O LORD, open my lips: and my mouth shall spring forth Your praise.

Sacrifices of God are broken spirits: dejected and contrite hearts, O LORD do not despise me. Create in me a clean heart and make a right spirit within me.

Deal favourably, O Lord, in Your good pleasure unto Zion: build the walls of Jerusalem.

Then You will be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with small and large burnt offerings: then shall they lay calves upon your altar.

LORD JESUS COME!
