Jesus’ culture

And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.” — Luke 2:52 (ESV)

What is the culture of the kingdom of God?

JESUS increased in favor with God his father through childhood until a fully grown adult.

Religions teach us to live righteously and better ourselves and inform us to be focused inwardly; it’s a ME-culture.

The language of the kingdom is to seek the betterment of others, outward-focus and surrender our wants and desires to God; hence we can then grow in wisdom and earn favour with God.

The new birth in Christ is to die to self and live to obey the great commandments of Jesus Christ.

Matt. 22: 37-39

1. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.
2. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

As long as Christians pursue pleasures for self, they are not living the culture of the kingdom of God and not following in the footsteps of Christ.
